This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and tracks nobody. Browsing it is anonymous. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the demo form, and we use it only to reply to you. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or send you anything you did not ask for. If nothing comes of your enquiry we delete it within 12 months, and you can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
The detail is below, and it is short enough to read.
1. Who is responsible for your data
SideBIP is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. SideBIP is operated from within the European Union and can be reached at contact@sidebip.com. That address is read by the people responsible for it, not by an automated support queue.
SideBIP is an early-stage product being tested before launch and is not yet incorporated as a company, so we would rather say so than imply otherwise. If you need the controller's full registered identity - to exercise one of the rights in section 7, to raise a complaint, or because your own compliance process requires it - ask at the address above and we will provide it. Once SideBIP is incorporated it will be named here, and the date at the top will change.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer; at this scale, these responsibilities are handled directly by the SideBIP team.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the website at www.sidebip.com and the demo and contact form on it. Every "talk to us" route on the site is that same form.
It does not cover the SideBIP workspace application at www.sidebip.biz, which is a separate system with its own accounts. That will have its own privacy notice, and a written data-processing agreement, before any organisation is onboarded onto it. Booking a demo does not create a workspace account.
3. What we collect
There is one place on this website where personal data is collected, and that is the demo and contact form. If you do not submit it, we collect nothing about you.
When you do, we receive your name, company and email address, which are required, and your phone number, team size and message, which are optional. We also record which route you came in by and when you submitted. Like any website, we briefly see the IP address your browser sends, which is used to protect the form against automated abuse and is not kept with your enquiry.
We do not buy contact data, we do not enrich what you give us from other sources, and we do not infer anything about you beyond what you have written.
4. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to you and arrange the demo or answer your question. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We are not relying on consent, which is why we do not ask you to tick a box to get a reply you asked for.
- To understand whether there is demand for the product, by counting enquiries. Legal basis: our legitimate interests. This is counting, not profiling, and you can object to it at any time.
- To keep the form from being abused. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
We send no newsletters, drip campaigns or marketing sequences. If that ever changes we will ask for your consent separately and specifically, with an unticked box, never bundled into anything else.
Giving us your details is neither a legal nor a contractual requirement - it is simply what we need in order to reply. The optional fields are genuinely optional and leaving them blank changes nothing.
5. Who else sees it
Your enquiry is shared only with SideBIP. No other organisation receives it, reads it, or is given access to it for their own purposes.
Like every website, SideBIP relies on services it does not own - hosting to store your enquiry, and email to deliver our reply. Those providers act solely on our instructions under written data-protection agreements, may not use your data for anything of their own, and are not permitted to pass it on.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we use no CRM, marketing platform, lead-scoring tool or advertising network. If a court or authority formally required us to disclose something, we would comply and tell you unless we were prevented from doing so.
We host within the European Union. Where a provider may access data from outside the European Economic Area, we rely on a European Commission adequacy decision or, failing that, on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Write to us if you would like the details.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for up to 12 months after we last had contact with you about it, then delete it. If a working relationship begins, it moves under whatever agreement covers that relationship and we will tell you at the time. Technical logs are kept briefly and then deleted automatically.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, unless we need it to establish or defend a legal claim - which, for a demo request, is very unlikely.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send you a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and do not have to give a reason.
Write to contact@sidebip.com and we will act within one month. For a dataset this small, expect days rather than weeks. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm the email address your enquiry came from, so that we do not hand your details to someone else asking on your behalf.
If you think we have handled your data unlawfully you can complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work. You do not have to raise it with us first, though we would rather you did - it is usually faster.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of your data in transit and at rest, access limited to named individuals, and protection against automated abuse of the form. We do not publish the specific configurations we use, since doing so would weaken them.
If a breach ever put your rights at risk, we would notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and tell you directly when notification is needed.
9. Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies. Not one. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for sessions. That is why you have never seen a cookie banner here and should not expect one: there is nothing to consent to.
The site keeps a single value in your browser, sidebip-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the page. It stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not used to identify you. Clearing your browser data removes it and the site works fine without it. Storage used purely to remember a display preference you set yourself does not require consent, and we use it for nothing else.
If we ever needed cookies, or analytics of any kind, we would ask your consent before setting them - with refusing as easy as accepting - and update this section first.
10. What we do not do
Saying this outright is clearer than leaving you to infer it:
- No analytics of any kind. We do not measure or record how you use this site.
- No advertising, remarketing pixels, conversion tracking or social media trackers.
- No embedded third-party content - no external fonts, iframes, video players, chat widgets or CAPTCHA services. Every file this site loads comes from our own domain, so no other company learns that you visited.
- No profiling, and no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- No special-category data. Please do not put health, political, religious or similar information in the message field - we do not need it and do not want it.
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes, and how to reach us
The date at the top tells you when this last changed. If we make a change that materially affects how your data is handled and we still hold your enquiry, we will email you before it takes effect. We will not quietly widen what we do with data you have already given us.
For anything in this policy, including any of the rights in section 7, write to SideBIP at contact@sidebip.com. We have not published a postal address because SideBIP is not yet incorporated and there is no business premises to give; ask by email if you need one, along with the controller's registered identity, and we will provide both. A registered address will appear here once SideBIP is incorporated.
